November to remember
Our new grandchild Katherine Grace arrived on November 14 and Lisa accepted a new job in Lansing and moved back to Michigan.
I never thought that so much could be crammed into a few days, fly from Frint to ATL. on Friday morning, visit Katherine and proud parents Matt and Laura at the hospital, then have dinner with Lisa and Aron at the Rusty Nail . Saturday was spent loading the U-Haul truck and then Aron grilled steaks and chicken breast for everyone. He did it for Matt and Laura at their house so they had a good homecoming dinner.
Sunday morning came to soon , but the last few items were loaded on the truck and Lisa and dad left ATL. and headed for Lansing. Sunday about 6:00 p.m. we stopped at Florence (Ya'll ) Kentuckey where Crissy and Steve live. Pizza, beer, several hours of visiting and then a good nights sleep.
Monday morning came even sooner than Sunday and its on the road again. We arrived at Lisa's apartment in Lansing about 2:00 pm. and then had to start the unloading process. Mom got there shortly after we did and then Sarah and Ryan arrived. By 6:00 p.m. we took the U-Haul back and then headed to dinner. I was really starting to feel like a grampa by then, it's a good thing Sarah and Ryan were there to help unload and carry things up three, yes three flights of stairs.
Mom drove me home, so I got to rest up for my reunion with Max and Molly the two best Bichon Buddies in the world.
Tuesday morning I felt like a very old grampa. I have spent the day taking it easy and resting up for Thanksgiving dinner and my next family adventure. I'm sure something will pop up that needs to be done.
It has been 1 year since the last night I worked at the plant. Who has time for a job ?
